@Geoff: I see you have installed a new Minecraft version. I would recommend using an older version e.g. MC 1.7.10 in order to get more mods. The installer asks you at the start where you have installed Minecraft if you have not installed it at the propper place.

@elise: Just ignore the message from Microsoft Windows. We cannot finance an expensive certificate.

the modinstaller is 4.4
i keep getting a server crash. i can´t load a single mod.

I would like to install mods but I have a MAC. How can I do that?

@Iggy chua: You can use the the Modinstaller and Mods only on the operating systems: Windows, Mac and Linux. Apple Ipod is not supported.

@Ava: Just open the Modinstaller again an shift the mods from the right into the left list. Click on install and the mods are removed. Or select a different Minecraft version than "Modinstaller". You can delete the Modinstaller with this keys:

- Push Windows + "r" (or start menu; click on "Run")
- Put "%appdata%" in the text field and push Enter (or click at OK)
- Delete the folder "Modinstaller"

@gaby: In order to switch to another Minecraft version, you have to install the Minecraft version with the Minecraft Launcher first.

Exit the Modinstaller and Minecraft
Start the Minecraft Launcher
Click at lower left on "Edit Profile"
Please choose "Use version" "release X.X.X" (e.g. "release 1.8") in the Profile Editor ("Version Selection")
Save your change by clicking on "Save Profile" (at lower right)
Click on "Play" and WAIT until Minecraft has downloaded all required files and has started completely
Close Minecraft again

You will be able to switch to other Minecraft versions (on condition you have installed them already), if you click top right on the dropdown list on the Installers´ main menu. The Installer only offers Mods for Minecraft versions that are available on your pc and our servers.
