Minecraft Modinstaller - Install Mods easily [1.8, 1.7]

i absolutely love how easy it is to find and install the mods that are allowed but i am having a problem playing them. When i attempt to load up minecrft with modinstaller it brings me to a bunch of code that i have no clue on what it says, i just know its keeping me from playing minecraft :P Anyway, do you know what i can do to fix this problem?

i am currently using a linux; knoppix. i have modinstaller 4.6 but i cannot seem to work modinstaller 5.0.6 is this a problom with the type of linux my computer is? could you please help i love modinstaller and hope to help make it better some day! thank you!
